 Specialized Personal Training

How is your personalized fitness program determined to be successful? A successful fitness program should optimize each workout session to safely and effectively lead you to achieve and maintain specific fitness goals.

Remember...people don't plan to fail; they fail to plan.

 

Step 1:

Your first session involves a thorough health history profile, a fitness question/answer discussion, goal setting, and basic fitness assessments. Your current levels of: aerobic capacity, flexibility, strength, posture, endurance, reaction time, body composition, balance and stability / risk of falling can be evaluated. In order to develop a program and measure progress you need to know your starting point. Wear workout clothing. This session will not, however be a strenuous workout, and takes roughly 90 minutes. This step helps establish Point "A" so we can get you to Point "B."

 

Step 2:

Be ready to workout and learn! This session consists of a thorough explanation of your program, clear instruction of recommended exercise guidelines for any medical conditions, proper form, and proper level of intensity, duration and mode. This is a very thorough process of learning each phase of your workout; from the warm up to the cool down and stretching. Wear workout clothing, and plan on a 60-90 minute session.

Step 3:

Review and discuss any questions/concerns from Step 2, workout again, continuing to perfect your exercise technique. You will learn more about optimizing your exercise benefits and the importance of periodization and cross training. Wear workout clothes, estimate a 60-90 minute session.

Step 4:

Sessions beyond Step 3 only get better! They may include adding program variations in style, mode, duration, intensity, charting your progression, reassessing your fitness levels, planning for seasonal or sports specific training, or simply touching base.
